carseatheadrestlover Beautifully simple. It brings a pleasant feeling of stillness and serenity. I wish this album was known by more people, so they too could enjoy it. 10/10 Favorite track: Mother & Stars.

Mia Voevodsky here for the bog echo on "heavenly door" and "let it overflow" Favorite track: Let It Overflow.

blankverse5 he arrives at a blue dusk, sells you hand-carved trinkets, enchanted under his spell, only to wake and find his canoe is not at shore, he must have left before dawn... Favorite track: Slide to the Ocean.

jonahyoshonis functions beautifully between style and a relic quality: songs passed along for eons where ghosts and experimentation embrace. Favorite track: Concord, MA.

Here comes the figurine Of progress from the left And on the right the unforeseen wall We missed the roaring twenties Overwhelming the other arm Overwhelming the other arm When the ladder breaks With the weight of their promises And the banners are finally taken down Who will represent their district Without hindsight now This is silver I happened to find And melt down with a peace of mind You can have it if you found no value here We will climb up through the window With a window to spare Here is a cake with a face drawn in icing Given on behalf of a friend Who will represent their district With more foresight now We missed the roaring twenties Overwhelming the other arm Overwhelming the other arm Here comes the wrecking ball with eyes For the second time and I understand How to steer and stand clear

Someone turn the coals and keep the fire burning MMmmm until morning If a good man is holy only when he's filled with The right emotion When the heavenly door The heavenly door When the heavenly door Will not open like before give it force (And the baboon walks and his feet are slow and steady and the dust is beneath) Texas was taken violently mistaken With the wrong notion But this demeanor and red tongue Would give the talk radio news When a soldier can be A soldier can be When a soldier can be Much more welcome easily we will see When the heavenly door The heavenly door When the heavenly door Will not open like before give it force

Taking on sweeping reform Taking on pain without blaming Other people going down the drain Taking off for the voting trough Feeling sorry when you're falling apart Feeling sorry when you're pushing the cart Who on Earth deserves a neck-and-toe start Feeling sorry's a disease of the heart Surrounded with well-being Occupied with personal reason Electrified if there's no meaning The season is electing me (electing me) They'll only tell you when you're under the light There are thousands of reasons for flight Does taking guidance with too much salt Or giving bad advice make it your fault If you don't care why are you there Focus all your bad energy Focus focus your bad energy Focus on me focus on me A man of leisure finds it all worthwhile If you make no more than a dozen an hour You know the lying face it's a smile And we're all lost in the soda aisle If you don't care why are you there If you don't care why are you there

If I found the sword I wished for under the bed I wouldn't be there but in England instead If I found the sword I wished for under the bed I wouldn't end up down among the dead Sunken under bracken and mud Uninvited to the passage of time Golden messages around the neck Not handed over at the site of the wreck The hilt is clean iron and bronze sing Into the future where no one will die Wrapped in wind the right ear rings Polished silver and the emerald eye Blue angel landed on the green Rich devil walking out on the wing With cuts under the jaw from a Roman spear Wishing to fly away from here Like an actual violent man WIth a motive and three free hands Or a Plantagenet nobleman not willing To even help row the ship through the light rain They caused me trouble Still wish they were around to cause me more They cause me trouble But I wish they were around to cause me more Don't ever let them turn your teeth into sand And don't forget who has the lower hand They may expect you to want nothing else But no one can take what you make for yourself In Toledo when the sabre was struck Felt a lot better feeling out of luck My sword keychain and dead-giveaway shoes Had me laughing all the way from Toulouse Here's a couple of seashells a metal comb And a lid on the borrowed leisure time They caused me trouble still wish they were around to cause me more They caused me trouble still wish they were around to cause me more They caused me trouble still wish they were around to cause me more They caused me trouble still wish they were around to cause me more

Do you read about the weather When you feel it in your ears and your nose Will you reconfigure measures When you find out who wrote the code That's how it goes That's how it goes That's how it goes Your table isn't even level So how can it be so full This party will not be forgiven You added to the chain after all If you need to think slow And let the empty cup overflow If you feed it it'll grow Until you cut off the supply Let it die and move on Give it time and feeling think slow Until the empty cup overflows

How many walked into this room By the capital's counting And look what's buried in the island Hundreds of thousands Do you want the decider To be you as it is forever And here's our skier Walking through the country to The national mountain Hope you can glide through All the snow on the freeway Past Sacremento And honestly you'll be pulled over In the next county How many walked into this room Captain's orders And here's our skier Towing the line As if it belonged to everyone

Follow that candle down the wick of all belief Soulish animals atoms reassign Another relic stolen from the ashes in the stream Whose blood on the cloth keeps the tourists in line Here is the courage to ignore the paper sign The mother and the stars decide the month and time To be able to return to welcome company Through a cemetery of words and phrases to repeat Running right behind a slightly older me One of these nights I'm going to climb out through the seams Follow that candle up the stair and close an eye Here through an open roof I think should see Nothing in the ice and dust harder to align Body and blood jump off the page and follow me Who has the courage to defy the papal sign The mother and the stars decide the month and time To be able to run to welcome company Through a cemetery of words and phrases to repeat Running right past a slightly older me One of these nights I'm going to fly out of a dream Who is that sitting in the tree Who is that sitting next to me Who is that tell me who The mother and the stars decide the month and time Who is that sitting in the tree Running down backwards and out of town Running through the cemetery of words to write down One of these nights I'm going to find out what they mean Running through the cemetery of words to write down One of these nights I'm going to climb out through the seams One of these nights I'm going to fly out of a dream

Spread the leaves out to cover The roots of your favorite tree Sit on that dollar You paid with the circuit in your palm You're a worried picture With supplements to judge If you made any profit You could be charmed with the sense of calm You'd feel Preserve the coast or don't live there Floating ideas caught in the net Pour out the last bottle And take a complaint out the jar Those housing collectors Invest in a future less warm But there's a thousand sectors Waiting behind the death of your car And it won't take long to feel Better than you did at the start of the meal And it won't take long to feel Better than you did at the start of the meal If you see no outlet Brace yourself and run right through No longer married to the thoughts You were taught too young Join the queue it's contagious Waiting in line down the hall For the slide to the ocean Open the window and we will fall

about

Myth of the Middle Rung sounds like it was found behind a faded tapestry, and would be best digested by the song-dissectors, antiquarians, and the once-bullied caretakers of Bandcamp's catacombs.

The record's bony, organic, moss-green tones respond to the exploding fanfare of the early 2010s. Myth of the Middle Rung could be a soundtrack for chopping potatoes or going for a walk, but not for riding in the backseat on the way to the next bar.

Imagine resting your legs in a meadow. A drumbeat hews the fog, startling the birds. Voices fly through the treetops, ancient battle horns screech in quarrel, the clanging of metal becomes audible.

You wake in a up in a car grateful to be in alive in the internet age. “Alright?” the driver asks, “Is right here ok?" Carsick, you get out and walk up a dirt path to the door of the great hall. Warm air, laughter, and woodsmoke rush outside.

In the middle of a heavy wooden table, a knife slices through the charred exterior of an impossibly large squash, releasing a tendrils of steam from the golden interior. Slices of squash with maple sugar and ground sumac are delivered to the patrons of the hall like birthday cake. Tankards of dry mead clink together. An orange glow illuminates the face of a guitarist, but the music cannot compete with the chatter of the crowd.
